Honeycomb are excited to be partnering with a charitable organisation in the recruitment of a full time Senior Community and Events Manager at £42,500.

Your main focus will be creating, developing and delivering on a sustainable fundraising strategy for Northern Ireland through setting key fundraising priorities and meeting the needs of the those the charity supports.

Some main responsibilities include:

  • Developing successful strategies for all fundraising activities across NI, ensuring set goals are achieved and sustainable in line with financial expectations
  • Deliver on digital fundraising activity, Special Events and Corporate fundraising
  • Generate local fundraising opportunities by creating innovating income generation activities
  • Raising the charity profile, marketing through local media, developing and creating awareness along with the Communication & Marketing Team
  • Ensuring engagement across NI, nurture and develop new and existing relationships
  • Develop and monitor key systems and processes including, financial accounting planning, activity debriefs, evaluations, due diligence and procurement
  • Provide regular accountability and reporting at local and national level
  • Line management responsibility, providing support and direction on a 1:1 basis and with the fundraising team
  • Collaborating and sharing knowledge with colleagues across NI and the UK to optimise opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of the Events and Community Fundraising Strategy
  • Ensuring standards are adhered to, reports submitted by deadlines and to a high quality

What will you need to bring:

  • Full clean driving licence and access to car for travel requirements
  • Previous recent experience within the charity sector in NI in a similar post
  • Strong understanding of learning disabilities and how this impacts these individuals
  • Demonstrable experience of income management, large budget management
  • Experience developing and growing a national fundraising portfolio
  • Recent experience of creating and delivering effective fundraising strategies
  • Proficient digital, data and marketing skills
  • Strong networking, relationship building and maintaining skills
  • Experience working to targets, KPI's
  • Driven, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role
