Honeycomb are delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable charity that are dedicated to stopping the harm, abuse, and exploitation of older people across the UK in the recruitment for a Partnerships and Campaigns Officer, working remotely across NI at £30,000 - £32,000.

Your Role:

- Play a key part in shaping the charity's development model, financially and through relationship building - working closely with the External Affairs and Parliamentary Manager.
- Part of a UK wide team working with the Deputy Chief Executive to support programmes, performance, policy, communications, and fundraising.
- Partnerships - Generate impactful partnerships in N.I. and Scotland from charities, councils to MPs and private bodies. Creating referral pathways, raising awareness, building links, and identifying opportunities for partnerships.
- Development and Income Generation - Work with Fundraising team to ensure database is kept updated, draft monitoring reports, work to agreed fundraising targets and identify opportunities for income generation, sponsorship, and consultancy.
- Policy, Campaigns and Communications - Work with the Policy team to implement effective campaigning in-nation. Provide guidance to social policy makers, appropriate politicians, support the drafting of briefings to produce robust evidence-based material for submission to government and other statutory bodies. Represent the charity, coordinate NI and Scotland events as means of raising awareness.
- General - Support meetings of the Advisory Committee in NI and Scotland, ensure all databases are fit for purpose, giving regular support to staff. Providing advice in line with the charities policy. Must maintain confidentiality and observe requirements of the Data Protection Act along with the charity's legislation at all times.
Person Specification
- Degree level educated or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role within the 3rd sector
- Ability to communicate persuasive and concise narrative to deadlines
- Thorough understanding of abuse in either an age-related context or from another vulnerable characteristic
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of partnership building, relationship managing and the ability to network
- Ability to organise events such as large meetings, seminars or community-based events
- Ability to handle emotionally challenging case studies and deliver them in a passionate and cohesive manner
- Excellent organisation skills, ability to manage time and remain proactive, working to a high level under minimal supervision
