What would a typical day look like for you? This role will be responsible for leading the development of the Men's Shed network in Northern Ireland, enabling growth in the movement. Some key responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with the manager to develop & establish the Men's Shed NI network
  • Identifying funding & sponsorship opportunities to sustain the network, including new markets, clients, partnerships products & services
  • Working with the Men's Shed network, supporting the set up of new sheds, answering requests for support from the network
  • Develop & deliver an income generation plan that includes trusts, foundations and corporate
  • Building relationships with new & existing funders, clients & partners to grow the resources for the network
  • Complete & oversee the submission of funding & sponsorship applications
  • Prepare & deliver presentations to potential funders & donors
  • Assist with the development of marketing content for fundraising purposes, including developing & updating the website
  • Events, organising and attending to promote and support the Men's Shed Network, including the development of a NI Men's Shed Festival event
  • Representing the charity at meetings & public events
  • Provide reports & analysis against the business plan for the Management Team, Board of Directors and sub committees
  • Actively seek to improve, eager to develop and contribute to the overall success of the organisation
Person Specification
  • Proven experience of successful income generation, sponsorship or marketing
  • Experience of developing & managing key relationships & partnerships
  • Experience developing & delivering events
  • Experience on working alongside funders on the delivery of projects
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships through networking skills and developing partnerships
  • Ability to work off own initiative, proactive and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills written & verbal
  • Proficient with IT systems inc MO Suite
  • Hold a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
