Honeycomb Jobs is delighted to be working with our 3rd sector client, to recruit a part time (15-20 hrs per week) Administrative Support Officer on a 6 month temporary contract with potential extension based in Belfast.

The Client - Our 3rd sector client since its formation has grown to become one of the most successful local, independent theatres in Northern Ireland. In 2000 the organisation opened a purpose built rehearsal studio.

The Role - This credible position reports into the Theatre Manager with the responsibility of supporting ongoing activities and assist with the day to day running of the Theatre. Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assist with the efficient running of the office helping to ensure that day-to-day administrative duties are completed.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with general enquiries.
  • Updating systems.
  • Marketing and communications activity as well as communicating with members, the public, suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
  • Assist the Theatre Manager and the Treasurer with all aspects of bookkeeping and accounts administration (including sales, purchase ledger, credit control, accounts payable and receivable).
  • Assist with special events, meeting organisation and set up.
  • Support with any other duties as required.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • 1 years' experience of general and finance administration.
  • 1 years' experience in the use of accounting software (Sage currently used by Theatre).
  • 1 years' experience of working in a customer service / stakeholder environment.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Access NI check required.

Desirable:

  • 2+ years' experience of general and finance administration.
  • 2+ years' experience in the use of accounting software (Sage currently used by Theatre).
  • 2+ years' experience of working in a customer service / stakeholder environment.
  • Marketing experience and comfortable working with graphic design applications and word press.
  • Experience of working in an Arts/Theatre environment.
