Honeycomb Completes JAM Card understanding inclusion training.
Honeycomb Jobs attended the Now Group in Belfast (2nd August 2022) for a bespoke training session, including JAM Card understanding inclusion training and telecommunications training.
JAM Card, which stands for Just. A. Minute. is a discreet, silent, and easy device for people with a hidden disability or communication barrier to tell others that they need extra time and understanding in a private and easy way. Originally developed by and for those with learning difficulties and disabilities. Has now expanded to include anyone with a hidden disability or communication barrier when they need more patience and space in a given situation.
You can show your card while you are shopping, ordering food, visiting a bank, using public transport, and much more. As long as the business in question is JAM Card Friendly, they will know what your cards mean. It’s a simple idea that makes a big difference.
JAM has grown into one of the leading accessibility and inclusion tools for its service users. There are now over 1,800 JAM businesses and 85,000 service users across the world.
Honeycomb has enjoyed working with the team at the Now Group on how to best support those people with hidden disabilities or communication barriers when delivering customer service.
